INTERNATIONAL FALLS, Minn. - Authorities are investigating a head-on crash in northeastern Minnesota that killed two people and injured two others.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a pickup truck crossed the centerline on Highway 53 in St. Louis County and collided with a Pontiac Grand Am Thursday.
The 24-year-old driver of the Grand Am and a 23-year-old passenger died at the scene of the crash near International Falls. Both victims were from International Falls.
The Duluth News Tribune says the driver of the pickup and a passenger, both from Illinois, were taken to a hospital in International Falls, then flown to St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.
The State Patrol says the pickup driver suffered critical injuries. The passenger's injuries weren't believed to be life threatening.
