STOUGHTON, Wis. - A chemistry teacher and at least four students have been transported to hospitals after a science experiment went awry at Stoughton High School.
School officials say the female teacher suffered burns in a small classroom fire Monday morning. She was taken to University Hospital. Four students were taken to Stoughton Hospital.
Superintendent Assistant Bev Mansfield says there was a lot of smoke, so about ten classrooms in the science wing were evacuated.
There's no immediate word on the conditions of the injured.
