ASKOV, Minn. - Pine County authorities say the driver of the pickup truck was the only survivor of an accident that killed four people on Tuesday.

The Pine County Sheriff's Office says a 21-year-old man was driving the pickup truck that turned into the path of a semi near the Town of Askov.

Four people died in the accident.  Fifty-eight-year-old Arden Edwards of Bruno, 21-year-old Brett Larson of Sandstone, 20-year-old Catherine Peterson of Askov and 17-year-old Felicity Jensen of Bruno.

Edwards was a passenger in the pickup truck. He died on the scene. Pine County officials say Edwards was the uncle of the driver.

Felicity Jensen, Brett Larson and Catherine Peterson were all ejected from the pickup truck. Police do not know their exact seating position at the time of the accident. Jensen and Larson died on the scene but Peterson died a short time later at a hospital.

The 21-year-old man is still at Essential Hospital in Duluth but officials say he is expected to survive.

Pine County investigators say there still remains no indication of alcohol use or negligence with the driver of the pickup truck or the semi.

The State Patrol is assisting with the investigation of the accident.

The driver of the semi truck was not injured.
