GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Rena Sarigianopoulos has been named the new co-host of KARE Saturday joining co-host/Chief Meteorologist Belinda Jensen on the weekly two-hour news show.
The announcement Tuesday completes KARE 11's weekend team.
"Bel and Rena are sure to be a dynamic and engaging team for our community," said News Director Jane Helmke. The program airs live Saturday mornings from 8 to 10 a.m.
Rena came to KARE 11 from Milwaukee where she spent four years as a weekend anchor and reporter. She also worked in Madison, Wis., Dubuque, Iowa and Youngstown, Ohio. An Ohio native, Rena graduated from Youngstown State University.
In addition to KARE Saturday, Rena will continue reporting as well as co-anchoring weekend evening newscasts with Blake McCoy, sports anchor Dave Schwartz, and meteorologist Jerrid Sebesta.
Bel and Rena debut on KARE Saturday October 13.
