FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - Around 500 volunteers are getting an early start to the Halloween season on Tuesday. They're tagging and sorting over 100,000 costumes, accessories and decorations at the 9th annual "Celebration of Sorts" at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.
The event is a partnership between Greater Twin Cities United Way and the Arc's Value Village Thrift Stores.
All sorted and tagged items will be sold at Arc's Value Village's Halloween Boo-tique in Brooklyn Center, New Hope, Richfield and Saint Paul. The Boo-tiques open Friday and are open until Halloween.
In addition to volunteers, members of the Minnesota Vikings will stop by the "Celebration of Sorts" to help out on Tuesday.
KARE 11's Bryan Piatt got in the Halloween spirit Tuesday morning, even picking out costumes for Kim, Tim, Pete and Sven.
