BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - The State Patrol says a motorcyclist is dead following a four-vehicle crash in Bloomington Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened on southbound Interstate 35W at 94th Street West just before 3:30 p.m.

Police say 66-year-old Michael Sjoberg of Minneapolis was killed when his motorcycle slowed abruptly, causing a vehicle behind Sjoberg to crash into the motorcycle and push it into a car in front of him.

A third vehicle then veered into the left lane striking a fourth vehicle.

Sjoberg died at the scene of the accident.

The drivers of the other three vehicles suffered no injuries according to the State Patrol.
