ST. PAUL, Minn. - Eleven children, two day care providers and two paramedics were attacked by a swarm of bees on Wednesday in St. Paul.
One of the girls suffered 30 bee stings and was taken to an area hospital, according to Fire Marshal Steve Zaccard. He said the incident occurred at about 11:30 a.m. when the children walked to a swarm of bees along South Mississippi Boulevard near Hartford and Randolph avenues.
The group, from a nearby day care facility, refused treatment at first, but the girl who was stuck 30 times was eventually taken to an area hospital, Zaccard said.
