CHASKA, Minn. - A teenage driver was cited for careless driving after his apparent inattentiveness led to a chain-reaction crash involving a school bus Wednesday morning.
Chaska Police responded to a report of a personal injury crash at the intersection of Clover Field Drive and Clover Field Boulevard just after 7:30 a.m. and found three damaged vehicles.
Investigators say a school bus from Positive Connection was stopped at the intersection with its stop arm extended and flashing red lights activated and students were in the process of boarding when the accident occured. A Buick Century with two teens inside rear ended a Ford Focus that had stopped behind the bus, causing a chain-reaction collision.
Three teenagers were inside that vehicle.
The only injury reported was by a passenger in the Focus who suffered a wound to the head.
Police say the driver of the Buick, a juvenile male, was cited for careless driving.
