MINNEAPOLIS - Four people died Thursday afternoon during a shooting at a Minneapolis business before the suspected gunman took his own life, Minneapolis Police said.

Officers summoned Thursday afternoon by a 911 call discovered the victims' bodies shortly after arriving at Accent Signage Systems Inc. on the 2300 block of Chestnut Avenue West in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood of Minneapolis.

Four other shooting victims were taken to Hennepin County Medical Center. Minneapolis police say three of those victims are listed in critical condition with gunshot wounds while the fourth had minor injuries.

The shooting occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon with law enforcement officials from multiple agencies responded to the call.

The incident shocked neighbors and others nearby at the time of the shooting.

Earlier Thursday evening, Minneapolis Police said "several" people were dead after the shooting but would not give any specific details.

Early Friday morning, investigators removed evidence from the scene.

The names of the victims and the suspect have not been released.

No details were released about the gunman, other than he was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Minneapolis Police Department along with the Hennepin County Crime Labs are processing the scene.
