Man in hospital after road rage incident

ISANTI, Minn. -- What appears to have begun as road rage led to one man being air-lifted to Hennepin County Medical Center after a gunshot wound to the face Saturday afternoon, according to Isanti police.

The incident ended in front of the Isanti Police Station where it quickly turned violent. Authorities have not released many details and are still trying to piece together all of the events that led to the shooting.

Authorities say two men on motorcycles and another in a car became angry at another on the roadway. The driver of the car drove to the Isanti Police Station where he was followed by the men on motorcycles.

According to police, an altercation took place in front of the station where the man behind the wheel of his car shot one of the other men in the face.

Police have one person in custody and will be continuing the investigation tomorrow and into next week.

The victim's condition is currently unknown.
