MINNEAPOLIS - This September went down as the second-driest on record. Officially, only 0.30" of rain fell at Minneapolis International Airport during the month putting it at number-two just behind the record of 0.27" which was set in 1882.
September of last year was also very dry. If fact, September 2011 is the third-driest on record with only 0.36" of rain.
St. Cloud also recorded the second-driest September with only 0.24" of rain. The record dates back to 1952 when a dismal 0.07" of rain fell.
