MINNEAPOLIS - The bomb squad is investigating a suspicious package in northeast Minneapolis Wednesday afternoon.
It was found outside a building near 15th Avenue NE and 6th Street NE that houses Fraser Academy, another school and a church.
Police say the package had blinking lights and duct tape. Authorities evacuated the building and surrounding businesses as the bomb squad investigated.
A pastor at Northeast Community Lutheran Church tells KARE 11 the package showed up at one of the building's doors. They called police when no one could account for the package.
The bomb squad detonated the package, however police have not yet said what was inside.
