EDINA, Minn. - A juvenile suspect is facing charges in connection with a threat posted online against Edina High School.
An email sent home to parents says the threat, posted just after midnight, referenced an act of violence that would happen at Edina High School on Friday.
Within a couple of hours Edina Police had traced the source of the threat and arrested the juvenile suspect. School officials emphasize that students werre at no time in danger.
Classes will be held as normal Friday.
Parents recieved the following statement:
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority and we take threats against our school seriously. Individuals who violate this trust will be dealt with accordingly.
We are fortunate to have a strong relationship with our local law enforcement and appreciate the work they have done to identify the individual responsible for this threat in such an expedient and professional manner.
