ST. PAUL - Cossetta Italian restaurant in St. Paul is hard at work making sure it's ready to re-open on Friday. Over 12 million dollars has been invested in the restaurant, that's been around since 1911.
Cossetta has been shut down this week as operation is shifted over to the new space, that's attached to the existing location right next to the Xcel Energy Center. The new space features a more spacious eatery, a new restaurant upstairs with a rooftop and a Pasticceria that is being built by crews from Italy. An expanded menu is also part of the changes.
The eatery and market will re-open Friday. The restaurant is expected to open in November and the Pasticceria will be open for business by January.
KARE 11's Bryan Piatt checked out the new additions and found out how the NHL lockout is affecting Cossetta and other businesses in the area.
