ST. PAUL, Minn. - Tips from the community have helped St. Paul police identify a 48-year-old man who was caught on tape taking Children's Miracle Network fundraising jars.
In September, officers responded to two incidents in which donation jars had been taken from a convenience store counter top.
An image of the man was circulated to the public through the police department's social media sites and through local media organizations.
Officers arrested the man seen in the photos in a Mounds View home on Thursday. He was arrested on suspicion of stealing the donation jars.
He also is being held in connection with other unrelated crimes, including the violation of a no contact order, police said.
