MINNEAPOLIS - The 16-year-old Chaska boy who was accidentally shot in the head with an arrow over the weekend has died according to police.
Police Chief Scott Knight says Spencer Lucas Paul Swanson died Monday evening at Hennepin County Medical Center from an arrow wound he suffered on October 13.
Swanson was riding a bicycle Saturday evening when a friend shot him in the head with an arrow. The arrow was an aluminum shaft with no tip.
In a statement, the family said the friend is Swanson's best friend and that they believe this was truly a tragic accident.
No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
