Sample electronic pull-tab device
ST. PAUL, Minn. - If early earnings are any indication electronic pull tabs will be a solid money maker for the state of Minnesota and establishments that utilize them.
Gary Danger of the Minnesota Gambling Commission tells KARE 11 that since iPad pull tabs first went on line September 18, $700,000 has been taken in. That translates to approximately $110,000 for charities across the state.
The number of establishments using iPad pull tabs is growing quickly as well. Danger says there were 5 establishments that put electronic pull tabs into operation on September 18, and nearly one month later that number has grown to 40.
That number will continue to escalate as the Gambling Commission receives and processes more license applications.
