MINNEAPOLIS - An 85-year-old man with Alzheimer's is back home safe in Minneapolis, and police are trying to piece together the sequence of events that landed him in Clear Lake, SD.

Robert Olson left his home on the 5200 block of 35th Avenue South on his way to a stop in the area of 47th Street East and Hiawatha Avenue South around 6:30 a.m. and failed to return.

Police put out a call on Olson's vehicle, a 2003 tan Mercury Sable with Minnesota license plate 580-DPR. Late Wednesday he was located by authorities in Clear Lake, SD, and returned to the Twin Cities.
