NEAR LITTLE FALLS, Min. - Six children were treated for injuries after a school bus tipped over in slippery conditions near Little Falls Thursday.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office says the incident happened southeast of Little Falls around 7:15 a.m. Crash reconstruction indicates that the bus, owned by Palmer Bus Company, was traveling north on Iris Road when the driver lost control on a slippery, sharp curve, causing the bus to tip on its side.
Fifteen students, mostly middle and elementary school age, were aboard the bus when it tipped. Four students were initially taken from the scene by ambulance with what are being described as minor injuries to be checked out at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
Eventually two more students were also taken by ambulance to be evaluated.
At this point sheriff's investigators say it does not appear the driver was impaired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
