MINNETONKA, Minn. - It's amazing what a little dusting can do.

"The first snow always gets people in the Christmas spirit," said Jenny Putnam, with The General Store in Minnetonka. "We have people coming in thinking about their Christmas shopping."

The General Store sells aisle after aisle of holiday décor and it's a popular place when the flakes start to fly. Spirits were also high for those who enjoy the slopes.

"The calls are lighting up," chuckles Fred Seymour with the Hyland Ski and Snowboard Area. "This is when people start to get pumped up."

The snow wasn't around for long and had little effect on the roads, but it reminded Minnesotans that the next season is inching closer.
