MINNEAPOLIS - Xcel Energy deployed crews from Minnesota to the east coast on Wednesday to help restore power in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

Thirty lineman and six managers, safety consultants and fleet mechanics volunteered to deploy with equipment and trucks to West Virginia.

While out east, they'll help rebuild electricity distribution systems destroyed by the hurricane and subsequent storms. 8 million residents on the east coast remain without power.
