ROSEVILLE, Minn. -- For some the holidays can be a lonely time which is why the work of programs like Gift for Seniors is so important. Gifts for Seniors is a Twin Cities non-profit that works with local agencies to identify elderly community members who are alone during the holidays by providing them a gift and reassurance that they are not alone.
Since 1994, Gifts for Seniors has remembered over 25,000 seniors through the generous support of volunteers, donors and partner agencies.
As Gifts for Seniors heads into this holiday season, they could use everyone's help in three ways:
- Volunteers are needed to help with collecting gifts and at their processing center in Edina.
- Donors are needed to purchase new, unwrapped gifts and drop them off at barrels, located throughout the Twin Cities. Gifts for Seniors also accepts monetary donations.
- Interested businesses and organizations are needed to serve as barrel hosts.
