ROSEVILLE, Minn. - It seems this election season that everyone has a poll, but one at Roseville Bakery comes with a sweet twist.

It may not be scientific, but the Bakery has been selling candidate cookies for the last two elections and the winner of the confection contest has turned out to win the election both times.

President Barack Obama won last time in a landslide, but that's not the case in 2012.

"The poll has been up and down," said owner Amy Ament Johnson. "Romney's been in the lead I think for the last 300 or 400 cookies, but it has narrowed to as little as eight cookies in the last week to 10 days."

Johnson says that it might only be cookies, but it has spurred many a political conversation and even debate inside the bakery.

She says that is a good thing, especially this time of year. She says she's hoping it inspires folks to vote for real on Tuesday.
