Homicide victim found in south Mpls. alley

MINNEAPOLIS - Homicide investigators are looking for suspects after the body was discovered in an alley on the near south side early Wednesday.

Officers responded to a shots fired call on the 2100 block of 10th Avenue South just before 3 a.m. and found a man laying in the alley. He appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Police currently do not have anyone in custody, and say there are no known suspects. They ask anyone who may know anything about the crime to call the TIPS Line at 612-692-TIPS (8477).

The identity of the murder victim will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office as soon as an autopsy is performed.
