MINNEAPOLIS - If at first you succeed, try, try again.
The Minnesota Twins apparently considered country star Kenny Chesney's appearance at last summer's first-ever concert at Target Field so successful they decided to book him again for 2013.
Chesney will return to Target Field as part of his "No Shoes Nation" Tour on July 12, bringing the Zac Brown Band along for the ride. The cowboy and his pal Tim McGraw headlined the first-ever show at Target Field last July, which packed more than 42,500 music fans into the ballpark.
Tickets for the Target Field concert will go on sale to the general public on Friday December 7 at 10 a.m. and at that time will only be available online at the Twins website. An exclusive pre-sale for all new and renewed Twins season ticket holders is scheduled for Tuesday December 4.
"Kenny Chesney's performance in last summer's inaugural concert at Target Field was historic and unforgettable on so many fronts," said Dave St. Peter, Twins President. "We expect this to be another great concert at Target Field, a place on its way to becoming the best outdoor music venue in the region."
In addition to Chesney, the "No Shoes Nation" concert at will include the GRAMMY Award winning Zac Brown Band, whose latest album "Uncaged" debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200 along, with Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgraves.
