GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - It's time to break out the wallets today, because it's Give to the Max day.
In 2011, the 24-hour fundraising day, sponsored by GiveMN, raised more the $13 million for Minnesota nonprofit organizations and schools.
Give to the Max celebrations on November 15, include principals riding a roller coaster, puppies galore and 24-hours of comedic improv.
As a whole, GiveMN has raised more than $50 million for more than 6,700 Minnesota nonprofits.
Jeremy Wells, Vice President of Philanthropic Services for Minnesota Community Foundation, a founding organization of GiveMN.org) joined KARE 11 Sunrise to talk about today's giving, along with Amy Denneson, Principal of Rockford Middle School - Center for Environmental Studies, one of the schools who will benefit from the day of donations.
