MINNEAPOLIS - A 30-year-old Bloomington man will spend the next 10 years in prison after being found guilty of dealing methamphetamine.
Ricardo Cervantes-Perez was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison Tuesday on one count of distribution of methamphetamine. Cervantes-Perez was indicted on May 21, 2012, and pleaded guilty on August 21.
In a plea agreement Cervantes-Perez admitted that from November of 2011, to Mid-March of 2012, he distributed a total of 180 grams of actual methamphetamine. During that time, he also possessed an additional 162 grams of actual methamphetamine while planning to deal it.
This case was the result of an investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
