MINNEAPOLIS -- The woman rescued from a burning home in Anoka County back in September died over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner says 64-year-old Diann Evans died Saturday afternoon due to complications from injuries she suffered in the September 25th house fire in Nowthen.

Evans suffered first, second and third degree burns to her forearms, arms and face.

Fifty-four-year-old Mike Coolidge risked his own life to pull Evans from the burning home.  He was on his way to work when he noticed the fire and went inside the home to rescue the woman.

Coolidge and another man who assisted in the rescue,  Mark Poce, both received the "Citizens Award of Honor" from the Anoka County Sheriff's Office in October.
