MINNEAPOLIS - Investigators hope the release of a suspect sketch will lead them to a man responsible for a sexual assault that took place near St. Catherine's University.
A sketch artist with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) released the likeness of a man described as an African American male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium to heavy build.
The victim says he is between 35 and 40 years old, and was wearing a navy blue jacket with a zipper.
Minneapolis officers were called to the area of West River Parkway and 27th Avenue South on November 19 on the report of a sexual assault. The victim was attacked while walking from a parking spot to St. Catherine's. The suspect fled before officers arrived.
Sex Crimes investigators are asking anyone who knows the man in the sketch, or has information on the sexual assault to call them at 612-673-2358. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
