FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - The owner of two dogs found the animals shot to death in west-central Minnesota.

The woman found her pets dead in a ditch about a mile from her home on Highway 26. She lives near the border of Otter Tail and Grant counties.

She says both dogs had collars and ID tags, and they had recently gotten loose from her.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Department says there are no suspects at the moment but they continue to investigate.
