A good friend named Brenda told me once to always stop at a lemonade stand. Great advice! Even though the lemonade is sometimes watered down and warm, you always walk away with a good feeling inside, having made a kid's day!
I thought of this advice again this week when a group of kids in our neighborhood was trying to capitalize on the continuing heat wave. They were quite the entrepreneurs. They even had a kid cash register!
By the way, their pink lemonade was great. Cold, sweet, delicous in the 90 degree weather.
So, as the state continues to bake, look for a lemonade stand. Even if it doesn't cool you off, it's bound to warm your heart.
