It can get a little lonely on the overnight shift, Saturday nights especially. Only four people are in the building after news time is over.
On a very slow Saturday night last weekend my teammate at the assignment desk, Gillian, spotted a little friend on the security camera near the back entrance.

We had fun watching from our newsroom monitor. I've seen this guy in the parking lot before while loading up my gear for the night. He never stays long, personally I think he has something against tall people. It does make sense why he's hanging around. He's hungry! The garbage can near the back door is the closest outdoor garbage to our news cars that our photojournalists and reporters use day to day. I think it might be safe to say most of the trash thrown is food related.
On tonight's menu? Little Caesars Pizza, Crazy Bread! It's been awhile since I've had Little Caesars but I'd say my little masked friend lucked out!
