Today I met Olivia Newton-John at the KARE 11 studios. She was in our studio to be a guest on Showcase Minnesota this morning.
Whenever we have a guest that is sort of 'famous,' those of us in the newsroom always feel sort of silly about getting our picture taken with them. But when we realized Olivia was in our studio, a bunch of gals in the newsroom decided we couldn't pass up the opportunity.
She was very gracious and sweet when she came out of the studio. Clearly she's been asked for photos before. But she didn't seem to mind obliging us at all.
What was she doing at the KARE 11 studios?
The four-time Grammy winner has joined her husband, "Amazon John" Easterling, on a national tour promoting Zamu, an organic health drink derived from ingredients found in the Amazon Rainforest.
What amazed me was how great she looked in person. I knew she looked great on TV but in person she is just stunning. I hope I can look half as good as she does at 60 year old!
