It's no secret that I love chasing news overnight. Although the graveyard shift can be difficult at times, the biggest downfall occurs on slow news nights. You can spend hours driving around checking out police scanner traffic and keep coming up empty handed. Some nights you're just hoping something will break.
Last week I was filling in on the weekend overnight shift. While I was up at the assignment desk I kept noticing something peaking from around the sports office. Nothing to be alarmed about, just a life-size cardboard cutout of Perk! Scary? Yes, a little bit!
Since the news was slow and I was exhausted from boredom, I thought I'd have a little fun with cardboard Perk! I perched him up in different areas here at the studio. Can you believe I was laughing my head off while taking these photos?!
