GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Just for fun, I started a video blog called "Making Money Buying Groceries."
My wife and I have not only picked-up loads of items for free at stores over the years. But often times we'll have more value in coupons than the cost of the item resulting in the store crediting our total bill TO TAKE THEIR STUFF. This fascinates me. It feels like stealing.
So, I started this vlog (video blog) to highlight our victories with couponing.
Also, I hope to encourage, motivate and inspire you to do the same. Many folks, I'm sure, are already rock-stars with coupons finding deals and steals. But far too many are not. My guess it's because some folks don't know where to start or don't think it's worth their time.
It's actually quite simple and very much worth your time. My wife and I only get ONE Sunday paper a week. That's it! I'm sure you've seen/heard stories of folks that go extreme buying several papers and joining couponing web sites.
There's nothing wrong with that, but it's not necessary to get free stuff, even make money at the store.
So, what you'll see are quick video clips from stores explaining the sales, coupons, deals, and steals we are getting. Yes, making money buying groceries is possible!
I'll be posting these videos on my Facebook and twitter pages. Also, I have a Youtube channel where these videos will be uploaded.
Here's an episode I taped just last week at Rainbow Foods explaining the importance of using multiple coupons, rain checks, and keeping eye out for clearance items. Enjoy!
