Court dismisses lawsuit to bump Trump from ballot

MINNEAPOLIS - Donald Trump will stay on the ballot, thanks to a Minnesota Supreme Court ruling.

The decision, issued Monday, dismisses a lawsuit filed by the Minnesota DFL, moving to remove Trump's name from state ballots in November.

The Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party petitioned the court to disqualify the Republican standard bearers because the Minnesota GOP party didn't follow the strict letter of the law in choosing a slate of presidential electors and alternate electors for the Electoral College.

However, the court said at this point, it's too late to investigate.
