Two bodies found in White Bear Lake home

WHITE BEAR LAKE, Minn. -  A 59-year-old man is in custody after two bodies were discovered Tuesday inside a White Bear Lake home he shared with his elderly mother and twin brother.

The bodies of the 93-year-old woman and 59-year-old man were found around 7:32 a.m. inside the home on the 4700 block of Sandra Lane after a neighbor called police to check on their welfare. Authorities say they had been inside the home for some time.

"My husband and I both noticed that they weren’t taking the trash out, the van there wasn’t moving, it was unsettling," neighbor Kay Anderson told KARE 11. "I called my daughter, she said, 'mom call!' So I called the cops, I told them, just kind of go over there and see if everyone is OK. There is an elderly lady there. There’s 2 sons. So it kind of progressed from there. In my head, something was wrong."

Police say it's unclear how and when the two people died. Their official identities and manner of death will be released at a later time.

The man inside the home was examined by White Bear Lake medical staff and interviewed by detectives. He was then arrested and transported to the Ramsey County jail, where he's being held for financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

At this point it is unclear if he was involved in the deaths.

The case remains under investigation.
