PINE ISLAND, Minn. - Authorities in southeastern Minnesota are investigating the deaths of two people.
Olmsted County sheriff's officials confirmed the deaths in Pine Island, but provided no other details. Authorities were called to a home to a home at 6948 100th Street Northwest at about 4:30 p.m. Monday.
"We have individuals that have died at the scene we are going to be calling the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to assist us and investigators are just processing the scene now," said Olmsted County Sheriff David Mueller.
BCA investigators were on the scene most of the night. Mueller said more details of the investigation will be announced Tuesday.
The Rochester Post Bulletin reports that In radio communications, rescue personnel stated that there were two victims, at least one of whom was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester, Saint Marys, and that both victims were teenagers. Those reports are not official at this time.
