MINNEAPOLIS - Friends and family of the latest North Minneapolis homicide victim are asking for the guns to be put down.
Family says 46-year-old Dana Logan was shot and killed around 11 p.m. Friday night near the area of 36th and Queen Avenues North. Officers arrived to find Logan in a vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to North Memorial Medical Center where she died.
"Just please, please, please put down the guns," said Verna Patterson, Logan's sister. "Not just my sister. The little children that are being taken away... the elders, everybody. Just put them down. Put down the guns."
No arrests have been made in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities at 612-692-TIPS (8477).
