Hopkins Police search for hit-and-run driver

HOPKINS, Minn. - Police in Hopkins are investigating a hit-and-run that sent a woman to the hospital.

Police were called to the intersection of Main St. and 17th Ave. around 6 a.m. Wednesday. They arrived to find a woman had been hit by a car. She suffered serious injuries and remains in the hospital.

The driver of the car left the scene of the incident. Police say a witness attended to the victim and called 911.

Police continue to search for the driver and believe there were other witnesses to the hit-and-run. They ask anyone who may have seen anything, or may have been in the area at the time, to call the Hopkins Police Department at 952-258-5321.
