Man shot, home damaged in north Mpls

Concerns after bullet fired into Mpls. school

MINNEAPOLIS - A man was shot on the north side of Minneapolis early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 4000 block of Bryant Avenue North around 2:00 a.m. on reports of shots fired.

When arriving on scene police found one man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. Police also say a number of shots home was damaged in the shooting.

This incident happened just a few blocks away from Sojourner Truth Academy, where on Wednesday afternoon a bullet went through a second floor classroom window.  Fortunately nobody was hurt in that shooting.

Police are investigating both incidents.
