$3K reward offered in Edina smash-and-grab robbery

EDINA, Minn. - Police are offering a $3,000 reward for information regarding a smash-and-grab robbery in downtown Edina Wednesday morning. 

The incident happened around 10:25 a.m. at R.F. Moeller Jeweler on the 5000 block of France Avenue. An Edina Police spokesperson tells KARE 11 that an employee reported three black men armed with hammers entered the store, began smashing cases and grabbing jewelry.

The suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of loot and jumped into a van, that was soon found abandoned nearby. Police say that van was stolen. 

The three men allegedly attempted to light the stolen vehicle on fire using gasoline but they were not successful.

The reward will be issued for information that leads to an arrest.
