Victim ID'd in south Minneapolis drive-by shooting

MINNEAPOLIS - A 31-year-old Richfield man has been identified as the victim of a drive-by shooting in south Minneapolis on Monday night.

Police said that Juan Reyes Rosario was walking on the sidewalk when he was shot at about 6:30 p.m. near the area of 43rd Street East and 5th Avenue South.

Officers arrived and found Rosario lying on the ground. He was taken to HCMC where he died a short time later.

Police said that the shooting was not random. Police said the investigation is ongoing and nobody is in custody at this time.
