GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - St. Paul native Ashley DuBose is the second Minnesotan to appear on season five of NBC's "The Voice."
The singer's blind audition, where she performed Rihanna's song "Diamonds," impressed all four judges who turned their chairs and fought to have her on their team. DuBose ended up choosing Adam Levine as her coach.
DuBose stopped by KARE 11's studios to chat with Julie Nelson about her experience on the show so far and to perform some of her original music.
Her next challenge on "The Voice" will come during the battle rounds which will air in the coming weeks.
Minneapolis singer Holly Henry is also on the show competing on Blake Shelton's team.
You can see DuBose perform a local show with her full band on October 9 at Honey in Northeast Minneapolis. Admission is $8 and is an 18+ show. Doors open at 9 p.m. Click here for more information.
Her debut album, "Somethin' More," is also available for download through her website by clicking here.
