GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- The number of homeless families in Minnesota is higher than ever. Thousands of children are in those families.
Many go directly from their homeless shelter to their school and back. Since 2009, The National Council of Jewish of Women has partnered with Minneapolis Schools to address the unmet needs of these children.
Debbie Stillman, Executive Director of the National Council of Jewish Women joined us on KARE 11 Sunrise to tell us what is being done, and how you can help.
Also, if you visit the Noodles in Minneapolis/Lake Calhoun location near Whole Foods on Wednesday, May 25th from 4pm - 9pm, and mention "NCJW," "Stuff for Kids" or "Stuff for School," the restaurant will donate 25% of the evening's sales to our programs.
