MINNEAPOLIS -- Halloween expenditures have reached a record high this year.
That's according to the National Retail Federation, which tracks holiday spending.
That same study found the average person will spend $72 this Halloween while almost 44% of Americans are going to dress up.
If you're looking for a last-minute costume with the wow-factor, look no further than CostumeRentals in NE Minneapolis. The shop is a combined project of the Guthrie Theater and The Children's Theatre Company.
They have more than 70,000 costumes available to the public to rent year-round. The average person will spend between $100 and $150 on a costume at CostumeRentals though they can spend up to $350.
