MINNETONKA, Minn. - Lucid Brewing will debut their new beer KARE 11 helped name just in time for the official start of summer.
Lucid's new "Summertide" will be available at a launch party Thursday night at The Narrows Saloon in Navarre. The beer, a Saison, will be poured from 5-8 p.m.
Lucid Brewing co-founder Jon Messier says proceeds from Summertide's sales will be donated to the Lake Minnetonka Association and Save the Lake.
Can't make it Thursday? "Summertide will be released in 22 ounce bottles and on draft at fine beer bars and liquor stores around the Lake," Messier said. "There will be limited distribution in the Twin Cities as well."
Summertide is a seasonal beer from Lucid and will have a limited availability during the summer.
KARE 11 took name suggestions for Lucid's new beer on Twitter using the #KAREbrew hashtag. Six finalists were chosen and voted on by KARE 11's Facebook fans. The name Summertide, submitted by Ethan Miller, beat out Saison Lucci, Lakeplace, SOL, Loon and Silo.
