GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Minnesota-based Summit Brewing Company turns 26 this year and is scheduled to host a backyard bash at the St. Paul brewery on September 8 featuring performances from a lineup of local acts such as Doomtree, Now Now, Caroline Smith and the Goodnight Sleeps and more.

"We feel lucky to have a great space and amazing local partners, and we want to share that good fortune with our loyal Summit fans and our community," Mark Stutrud, Summit's founder said. "Through this bash we're happy to support the Minnesota Music Coalition, a non-profit supporting local independent musicians, which will benefit from half of all ticket sales."

Emceed by 89.3 The Current's Mark Wheat, the event will feature food from local vendors and, of course, a selection of Summit beer, including special casks.

Tickets for the backyard bash are $14 and go on sale Monday, July 23 at 10 a.m. on the brewery's website.
