Evenflo Evolve car seat recall

Evenflo has recalled three Transitions 3-in-1 Combination Booster Seat models because of a potential safety concern. The company said children using the seats, which were manufactured before Jan. 29, 2016, can access the Central Front Adjuster (CFA) button and loosen the harness.

"Without a snug harness restraining the child, the potential for injury in a crash increases,"Evenflo said in a statement.

The models include the forward-facing harnessed booster for children 22 to 65 pounds and 28 to 50 inches tall, the high-back belt-positioning booster for children 40 to 120 pounds and 43.3 to 57 inches tall, and the no-back belt-positioning booster for children 40 to 120 pounds and 43.3 to 57 inches tall.

No injuries have been reported. A free remedy kit is available.

Families can enter their child's seat model number and date of manufacture here or call Evenflo's ParentLink Consumer Resource Center at 1-800-233-5921, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
