GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - It was warmer in Siberia on Tuesday than it was in Minneapolis and a Russian delegation from Krasnoyarsk, Siberia was here to experience it.

The group of six, including three doctors and a journalist, paid a visit to the Health Fair 11 and Memorial Blood Centers Blood Drive at the KARE studios.

They were visiting as part of a program with the Open World Leadership Center, taking a look at the U.S. health care system and outreach efforts to help those with little to no health insurance.

In addition to visiting the blood drive, the Mayo Clinic and other Minnesota hospitals and clinics, the delegation will also visit the Health Fair 11 in the Qmmunity mobile screening unit at the New Hope YMCA on Wednesday, which will be offering free health screenings.

When asked what their impressions have been so far during their visit, facilitator Yevgeniya Cherepovskaya translated for Dr. Anna Nesterenko who said, "We are very happy to meet our colleagues and share our experiences with them."
